Practical Support team 07880 355 136
We hope that you are all well and staying safe as much as possible in the midst of this crisis. We have a brief update for you below in relation to our Sunday services and also initiatives for keeping us all connected in the coming weeks. If you think there are areas where you might be able to help, please feel free to volunteer and we will use you wherever we can.
Following the escalation of social isolation actions by the UK and Scottish Governments, it has now been decided to cancel the planned Communion and
Prayer service on Sunday and replace it with a live stream by Richard and Mark. Richard will deliver a sermon then take Communion with Mark. There will be NO
access to the church on Sunday. To access the live streaming the link is below. This will also be on facebook and the website. Link: https://seagatechurch.org.uk/live/
A number of pastoral, prayer and practical support actions are being implemented:
A Pastoral team is being established to make sure that everyone in the church is regularly contacted and kept connected through the crisis and to provide us
all with prayer support.
A Practical Support team has also been established to coordinate the provision of practical help (e.g. shopping, collection of medication or dog walking, etc) to those in our church and Troon community who need it. If you need any practical help or know of others who might need help, then please contact the Practical Support team on 07880 355 136. This is a new mobile number to assist the team in managing demand. The Practical Support Team is Judy Pitt, Neil Beckwith, Ruth Hayman and Richard Woods.
From Monday 23rd onwards a daily devotional video (by different Church members) will be available on facebook, the website and through a link sent
We will also be communicating a greater number of opportunities for corporate prayer during this crisis. Whilst we cannot meet, we will use the zoom video conferencing facility that worked well for the Friday morning prayer meeting today. We will provide more information about the times of these additional prayer meetings over the weekend and early next week. If you would like help with accessing zoom video conferencing, please let us know.
We appreciate this will be an anxious and uncertain time for everyone and ask for your support, encouragement and prayer – for the nation, leadership, our Church
and individuals. The most important response we can all have is to be praying for this situation.
Thank-you to everyone for their support, encouragement and prayers.
Richard and Dave
