MEADOWGREEN

Our Background

The Meadowgreen Foundation was set up as a Christian charitable trust in 1985 to provide community services to the Meadowgreen area of Troon. The Meadowgreen Centre opened in 1988 and was extended in 2003. Until 2018, children’s services including pre-school, after school care and toddlers groups meant that, for the most part, the Centre provided a ‘child-focussed’ environment. In 2015, Café 141, a community café, opened next to the Centre. This new facility enhanced the community focus in the area, which includes local shops, doctor’s surgery and a pharmacy.

In 2023 the Meadowgreen Centre and Café 141 were gifted to Seagate Church. Seagate Church are committed to continuing the charitable work at the Centre and Café, serving the local community and beyond, as well as growing Christian ministries in the area.
