At Seagate we have a wide range of members, each with their own preferred styles of music and styles of praising. As a result some weeks that you come to church you can worship along to some very new praise songs from the other side of the world whilst other weeks some ‘golden oldies’ from back in the day – we try to cater for everyone.
If you don’t know a song, don’t worry about it, all of the words appear on the screen and all of the tunes are very easy to pick up. Nobody’s going to ask you to sing a solo or to do a dance so just relax. We are also very blessed to have a number of gifted musicians who help us as we worship.
In worship we hope you will feel completely free to praise as you want. Some people like to sit, some like to stand, some like to raise their hands, some like to close their eyes (helps if you know the words for this one) whatever helps you to enter into worship with God.
Every week we hear a message from the Bible. They are delivered by our Pastor Brian, other members of the Church and some guest speakers. These are relevant, interesting and are delivered in a challenging and stimulating manner.
At the end of each message there is an opportunity for members or visitors to request prayer from Pastor Brian or someone from the leadership team. This can be done in a private and confidential manner and can be about any matter.
At the family service every Sunday we take a money offering. This is part of our worship to God but is something which is primarily for our Church members so don’t feel obliged to contribute. Part of this offering goes to the general running of the church and part goes to charitable organisations close to the heart of the church.
Come – as you are.
There really isn’t a dress code – you can decide how smart or casual you want to be. Basically just relax and be yourself.
