Hello & Welcome

We are delighted that you have decided to find out about our church and what we are all about. If you would like to get to know a little bit more about what Sundays look like and what other events you can attend, this page should help give you an overview of what you need to know.

Whether you are just new to the area and looking for a church to call your home or whether you are completely new to church altogether, you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome at any of our services and events. We would love for you to come and spend time with us.

We have set out below details about our services and answered some frequently asked questions which will give you more information about the church. If you would prefer to contact someone directly please email our pastor at richardwoods@seagatechurch.org.uk

Thank you again for the visit, and we hope to see you soon on Sunday, or indeed at any of the events in the life of the church”

FAMILY SERVICE

At 11.00am we gather for the Family Service.

We try to provide an interesting and relevant experience for all ages, so during this service younger people will leave to go to different parts of the building for Crèche or Jam Time depending on their age.

EVENING SERVICE

We meet again at 6.00pm for worship and more in-depth Bible teaching.

COMMUNION

At Seagate we love to meet together as a church family to worship God every Sunday.

The first Sunday of each month starts with Communion at 10.00 am, and the remaining Sundays it is at 6.oo pm.  All Christians are very welcome to join us and take part in the service.

There is usually an open time in the service for people to contribute or pray or ask for a particular worship song.

There is a crèche available for young children during this service.

COFFEE

Every good church has a time for tea and coffee and we at Seagate are no exception.

At around 12.00 pm, just after the family service, we have coffee, tea, juice and biscuits.

This is a great opportunity to catch up with friends or to get to know others in the church.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a dress code?

No, there is no dress code. We want you to come to church and feel comfortable so please just come as you are.

Can I just turn up on a Sunday?

Absolutely, please just do that. We would be delighted to see you at any of our services.

What about my children, will they be looked after?

Yes, we have creche facilities for babies and toddlers in one of the rooms at the back of the church. One of the welcome team will show you where to go to access the creche when you arrive at the church. For older primary school children we have JAM (Jesus and Me) time Sunday school, where they will play games, have lots of fun and learn about the Bible and Jesus too.

How long will the service last?

Our service usually lasts just over an hour and we have coffee and tea served afterwards. It would be great if you could plan to stay after the service and have coffee and tea with us, so that we get a proper chance to meet and chat with you.

Will I be asked to sing or pray out loud?

No, you won’t be asked to do any of that. There will be singing and praying in our services but you shouldn’t feel you have to join in unless you want to.

Is there parking near the church?

We don’t have a church car park, however there is street parking on the streets around the church for free. The spaces do fill up quickly so the earlier you come the closer you will get parked to the church.
